What should I check before submitting?

First, read your draft from start to finish. Check the dates, route and costs against your own records. If a figure is an estimate, say so. Leave out anything you cannot confirm from your experience.

Next, review the photos and captions. Share only images you own or have permission to use. Remove private documents, exact addresses and identifying details about children. Also get permission from people who can be identified in a photo.

Does saving publish my story?

No. Saving a private draft and submitting for review are different steps. An administrator reviews submitted text and photos before publication. Later edits also need review before they replace an approved version.

Use Share Your Moving Story to start a new account of your move. Follow the story guidelines so your contribution is clear and useful.

How can I ask for a correction?

Use the available story controls or contact us with the page link and a clear explanation. Do not send passwords or identity documents in your message. Our corrections policy explains how we review reports.
