How to share your moving story
First, gather the details you want to include. Your starting point, destination and moving month give readers useful context. A short account is welcome. Focus on what you learned and what you would do differently.
Next, describe the steps that mattered to your household. You might explain how you chose a mover, planned a road trip or made the new home ready. Keep advice tied to your experience rather than making promises about what another family will pay.
What should you include about costs?
Costs are optional. If you share them, say whether they are actual amounts, estimates or a mix. Keep deposits separate from expenses. Also explain what the amount covered, such as transport, packing or a hotel stay.
Do not copy someone else’s account or invent details to fill a gap. If you cannot remember a figure, leave it out or explain the uncertainty.
How do photos and review work?
Use photos you own or have permission to share. Get permission from people shown. Remove addresses, private documents, vehicle plates and identifying details about children.
Submitting does not publish your story. An administrator reviews the text and photos first. Later edits also need review before they replace the approved version. Read the moving story guidelines before you submit.
