Common questions
Does voter registration transfer between states?
No. Register with the destination where registration is required and you are eligible. North Dakota does not require voter registration. Use the official election page for current rules.
Why are some numeric deadlines marked not verified?
OSG does not substitute a commonly quoted number for an official rule. The guide provides the agency link while that numeric rule remains unverified.
Does this determine tax residency?
No. Tax residency and filing obligations need a separate review of your facts and both states’ rules.
